London Fashion Week 2013 (Spring Summer 2013)

So London Fashion week 2013 did actually outdo NYFW in some aspect. Even so, I definitely LOVE NYFW ‘s collections (in a greater extent) as compared to LFW’s overall collections. Well, for those who missed out on NYFW, scroll down to read my pick on the latest trend by New York  awe aspiring designers!

To be honest, I was literally jaw dropping throughout the whole showcase. It was indeed a magnificent collection from designers like Antoni Alison, Mulberry and of course Burberry Prorsum.
Some designers were great but did not really stand out. For instance,  Todd Lynn collection was a little far off from what I expected. The texturing/ layering of the fabric on some of his designs were a little tad too rough and unkempt.  Not that I doubt his talent since he IS a qualified designer, but I am thwarted. ):

So anyway without futher a due, let me highlight my favourites!

Antoni & Alison actually went towards an artistic phase for these designs. Though you cant straight away tell if these are couture or their RTW's collection- Which is pretty astounding. From the look of it, The duo made the fabric as their canvas-literally.  With crayon scribbles, brush strokes and spray paint, they created such unique designs and was daring enough to showcase something so.........artistically terrible and made it look stunning on the runway. To add on, Antoni Alison are celebrating their 25th Anniversary.
Thus, the fun pop art as they look back on their history.

Mulberry on the other hand came up with the most wonderful smart-almost-english way of not only designing but putting together their designs that created an image of high class socialite. Such are always seen in fashion shows like these but Mulberry did it best. Their designs were straight down clean although with minimum silhouettes given that their cutting were the least on fit. I presume it was done to made it look on point in the classy aspect and far off from the sexy promiscuity of their designs.
Definitely a WIN for me!

Brace yourselves because this is my ultimate favourite of all. Well, to most, i shall say?
Burberry Prorsum  has emerge victorious. His designs were sleek yet elegant and most defo a top notch product. Just look. look at how his creations are different from the rest. Look at his choice of metallic and yet bold dark colours. I shall let you guys decide if i am right or wrong.
(I'm pretty sure i am never wrong, but fuck me)

I am dying for i know Burberry Prorsum  is a fashion
GOD.

All hail.

NYFW2013

New York Fashion Week Spring 2013 have set the record high with variety of trends to ponder upon. The miscellanea of styles also refers to the textures that was put into each creation. Some might argue that it was a little tad too much of texturing just for spring itself but it definitely works for the fashion goers since the trend to ruminate was wide enough to not get stuck on a particular image.

Designers like MichaelKors ( Though most of his pieces make up most of the stripes conceptually) -definitely stood out in the whole fashion phenomenon, bringing vintage and the existing trends together which defined something so spectacular using just bold colours!

My favorite from Michael Kors would be the coquettish swimsuit like piece. I believe most women would even go to the extent of skipping meals just to get into this! (I don’t know about you, but at least I do!)

Jason Wu on the other hand present us with the most handsdown intrepid designs of all time. His collections are dauntless in a sense thatthey are so edgy but the least tacky.

Quoted by Cheryl Wischover “ We are predicting an early trend of harness elements for spring, should we blame fifty shades?” I, by all odds, concord with the fact that Jason Wu must have been inspired from the book which won the National Books Award. To top that, with well known Cara Delevingne as his model, Jason Wu had indeed made an achiever of himself.

My favourite piece from Jason Wu collection would be thewhite dress with bottom embroidered lace (This actually took me like good old 15 mins to decide as his collections are superb I can’t even pick a favourite-which I eventually did)

ProenzaSchouler’s collection however carried different elements. With powerful prints, their designs showed precise work of abstract art. With vivid color combinations, prints and texturing technique, it is almost impossible to really distinguish the hard work that was put in every design.

My favourite piece from ProenzaSchouler’s collection would be……..well, let me save this for the fall collection because as much as I am intrigued with their collection, it is most certainly not my style.

Till next time, xoxoqueensiti

Golden Globe Awards 2013

What more to say about Golden Globe 2013. I must admit that there were too many of my personal favourites that i really cant seem to focus on my TOP likings. I was told to pick one out of all the beautifully dressed red carpet hollywood stars and i was too captivated that i had several orgasms LOL

Without futher a due, let me highlight my recent findings! Buckle up because this is seriously  going to be by far my most favourite post.

Let me start with my least favourite dressed.........but still to my liking:

Lucy Liu

Dressed in Carolina Herrera Pre-Fall 2013 ball gown, Lucy liu did look as stunning as ever. Her look portrayed a demure image, which are contradicting in a way that it is too subtle for the red carpet AND a little over the top. (Make sense?)  Needless to say, not everyone can rock this look. So points goes to effort!
 Next, we have
Adele
Same old same old- Adele dressed herself in her signature floor length black gown with a neatly teased hair. Her signature style have got to go because its getting a little frustrating seeing her in black....black.....and yes, black. Though her dress was a little too simple for Golden Globe, she is indeed a beauty even if it means showing up in......black?

Moving on,

Jennifer Lopez,

Jlo make her entrence in Zuhair Murad gown with Pomellato jewels. This long-sleeve ivory
embroidered lace gown with beaded details are indeed an eyecatching piece. (Only because it's nude and looked  transparent so the photographers must have zoomed in to see her if her nipples are visible or her Cuca's are semi exposed...LOL)  This does spells elegant along with her stunning haido.
Jlo must have done it to make Marc Antony realise what he have been missing!
